D.C. Reporter

I’m Sam Habashy. I report on Texas state and national politics, Congress and the institutions that shape public life.

I’ve covered Congress and its important races from Washington for The Texas Tribune, plus the Supreme Court and the White House for Medill News Service, written features on Grammy-award winning artists for the Indianapolis Star, and led award-winning coverage of campus protests, polling and data reporting at the Daily Northwestern.

I’m a cum laude graduate of Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism and an incoming master’s student in Politics and International Studies at Cambridge.
